Who we are
Nadia's Buns is a home-based bakery operated by Nadia Lynne Valencia, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means Nadia's Buns.
Information we collect
When you place an order or send a message, we collect: your name; your phone number and/or email address; any dietary or allergy information you choose to share; and your order details. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or banking details.
How we use your information
We use your information solely to: prepare and fulfil your order; contact you about your order, including to confirm pickup times; respond to your messages; and maintain basic records of completed orders for bookkeeping. We do not use your information for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The only third party that receives your payment data is Stripe, Inc. (our payment processor). We may share your information if required by Canadian law or a valid legal order.
Payments and Stripe
All card payments are handled by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Stripe collects and stores your payment card information under their own privacy policy and terms of service, available at stripe.com. We receive only a payment confirmation and the order details needed to fulfil your order.
Data retention
We keep your order and contact information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfil your order and for standard bookkeeping (typically up to two years). If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you; request a copy of it; ask us to correct inaccurate information; and withdraw consent to how we use it (subject to legal or contractual restrictions). Cookies and analytics
The ordering platform (Famishly) may use cookies or similar technologies to keep your session active and improve the service. We do not run our own analytics or advertising tracking on the Nadia's Buns website.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. Our service is intended for use by adults or minors with parental or guardian consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when it was last changed. Continued use of the site or placing a new order after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
