About this business
Nadia's Buns is a home-based, small-batch bakery operated by Nadia Lynne Valencia in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. All products are baked in a private home kitchen, not a licensed commercial facility. By placing an order you acknowledge and accept this. Nadia's Buns is not a commercial bakery, cake decorating studio, catering company, or fine-pastry service. Orders are taken for the items listed on the menu only.
Orders and confirmation
Placing an order and completing payment is a request, not a guaranteed booking. Every order is subject to availability and confirmation by Nadia. You will be contacted to confirm your order and pickup time. If we cannot fulfil your order for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
Lead time
Most items require at least 48 to 72 hours of advance notice. Custom or bulk orders may require more time. Orders placed without sufficient notice may not be possible. We will let you know as soon as possible if your requested date is not available.
Pricing and payment
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes where required. Payment is due in full at the time of checkout through Stripe, our secure payment processor. Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price shown at the time you place your order is the price you pay.
Pickup
All orders are pickup only. Pickup is in Edmonton, AB at a location confirmed with you at the time of your order. We do not offer delivery. Risk of loss or damage passes to you at the time of pickup.
Allergen and dietary disclaimer
All products are made in a home kitchen that regularly handles wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, and other common allergens. While we take care with each order, we cannot guarantee that any item is free from cross-contact with any allergen. Dietary tags on the menu (such as "Vegan" or "Gluten-free") reflect the intended recipe only and do not constitute a guarantee of suitability for any specific allergy or medical condition. If you or someone you are ordering for has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement, you must inform us before placing your order and accept that we cannot guarantee allergen-free production. By placing an order you agree that Nadia's Buns is not liable for any allergic reaction or adverse health outcome arising from consuming our products.
Homemade products and quality
All products are made by hand in small batches. Appearance, weight, and size may vary slightly from photos. Variation in colour, shape, and texture is normal for scratch-baked goods and is not a defect. Products are intended to be consumed on the day of pickup or within the time frame communicated at the time of your order. We are not responsible for quality changes resulting from improper storage after pickup.
Refunds and cancellations
Because all products are made to order using perishable ingredients, we do not offer refunds or exchanges once an order has been confirmed and baking has begun. If you need to cancel, contact us as early as possible. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup may receive a full or partial refund at our discretion. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may not be eligible for a refund. If your order is significantly different from what was confirmed, contact us within 24 hours and we will work with you to make it right.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Nadia's Buns and Nadia Lynne Valencia are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or consumption of our products, including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, medical costs, or event disruption. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Scope of service
Nadia's Buns does not offer large-scale commercial catering, wedding cake design, custom cake decorating, fine pastry work, or any service outside of the items listed on the current menu. Custom requests are considered on a case-by-case basis within the scope of home scratch baking. We reserve the right to decline any order or custom request.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these terms or an order will be resolved under Alberta jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when they were last changed. Placing an order after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
